What Are Towers in PoE 2?
Towers are special structures within the Atlas of Path of Exile 2 Currency Worlds that act as enhanced mapping nodes. You'll begin seeing them after finishing the campaign and entering the endgame. They rise out of the fog of war and can be accessed by completing adjacent Waystones (aka Maps).
Once a Tower is reached and completed, it can be infused with Precursor Tablets, which then affect all Maps (Waystones) within its range.
Tower Layouts and Types
Just like standard Maps, Towers come in various layouts. Each Tower culminates in the activation of a Precursor Beacon, which unlocks Tablet slots.
Current Tower Types:
Bluff
Lost Towers
Mesa
Sinking Spire
Alpine Ridge
While layout themes vary, the primary objective remains the same: reach the end and activate the Beacon.
Tablet Slots and Waystone Modifiers
The number of Tablet Slots you unlock after completing a Tower depends on the number of modifiers on the Waystone you used to enter the Tower.
0-2 Modifiers: 1 Tablet Slot
3-5 Modifiers: 2 Tablet Slots
6+ Modifiers: 3 Tablet Slots
Additionally, higher-tier Waystones amplify the effects of Tablets. By Tier 15, Tablet effects double, which can result in something like:
An Expedition Tablet that would add 18 nodes will now add 36 Expeditions to buy Path of Exile 2 Currency nearby Maps.
