How to Get An Audience With The King in Path of Exile 2
An Audience with the King is a rare item in Path of Exile 2 that can be used at the Realmgate in the Atlas to fight the Ritual pinnacle boss, The King in the Mists. It can be obtained either through Ritual Altars or by trading with other players.

Ritual Altar Method
An Audience with the King has a very small chance of appearing as a reward (Favor) in Rituals and can be bought using Tribute. To see if a Ritual contains an Audience with the King or not, you’ll usually need to clear all 3 or 4 Rituals in the map node first to uncover all possible rewards.

An Audience with the King can appear in low-tier maps; it doesn’t need to be a Tier 16+ Waystone for this item to appear.

If An Audience with the King is not present, you can reroll the reward pool by pressing the button at the top. Doing so costs 1000 Tribute. Do note, however, that An Audience with the King costs anywhere between 2500 to 7000 Tribute to obtain, which means it is nearly impossible to have enough Tribute to buy it the first time you see it.

When doing Rituals to farm for An Audience with the King, make sure not to spend any favor until all Rituals in the map are complete and you have rerolled the reward pool as many times as possible.

In most cases, you will have to use the ‘Defer’ function (at the bottom of the rewards menu) to defer the item. Deferring an item from Rituals guarantees that it will appear within the next few Ritual nodes. It costs a fraction of the total item price, and when the item appears the next time, it will be discounted by the amount paid to defer it (this can be repeated). It might not appear in the very next Ritual you complete, but it will appear again eventually. The more valuable an item, the longer it takes for it to return. And since An Audience with the King is the most valuable item in the entire reward pool, it can take ages for it to come back. But it will come back.

Even then, deferring the item once may not be enough. When An Audience with the King appears again as a Ritual reward, you will likely have to Defer it repeatedly until it gets cheap enough for you to buy. This is why getting the Audience is not a simple matter of getting it to spawn. You have to clear dozens of Ritual maps to grind away at its base cost as well.
